| What a great place this is! This morning I stopped in to see if someone could repair my eyeglasses, which suddenly fell apart last night. My husband and I were just about to begin our drive home to Denver, and I need my glasses to drive. The young woman who helped me was professional, courteous, and efficient. Within just a few minutes she repaired my glasses perfectly, and then she repaired the loose earpieces on my husband's sunglasses. When I asked her how much we owed her, she said, "Have a safe trip home." What an unexpected but much appreciated gesture!
While waiting, I looked at some of the eyeglass displays, which are extensive and attractive. I also observed the staff interacting with customers in person and on the phone. All interactions were professional and thoroughly customer-oriented.
If I lived in Santa Fe, this would be my first choice for optical services. Thanks! |

| Yesterday at my wife's insistence, I visited Ken to get my glasses properly adjusted. I've had the glasses for about 6 months but have never been happy with how they felt; I was constantly moving them on my face to try to get my vision aligned. I'm relatively new to wearing glasses so I just thought aggravation was part of the process. My wife has been a customer of Acoma for over a decade and said that I should be virtually unaware of the presence of my glasses if they were correctly adjusted. Now, a day after Ken's adjustment, I understand what my wife meant; the difference is remarkable to the point where she's probably tired of me remarking on much more comfortable I am. Last night was the first night in many weeks that I haven't had a headache from trying to switch from reading to watching television. I was prepared to get new glasses but this was a much simpler, less expensive and genuine solution. I'm pleased and grateful for Acoma's high level of competence and customer service. In all too many industries, customers have grown jaded and expect inadequate knowledge and poor service, so it's all the more refreshing to experience such an excellently operated local business. Like my wife, I'm now a committed Acoma client for life. Now the trick is to keep our large goofball dogs from undoing Ken's fine work. Thank you again |
